Great concert venue needs improvement
Leonard Bernstein and The Goo Goo Dolls were awesome! SPAC, however, could stand to make some changes for patron comfort and safety. For starters, I had never seen SPAC so full, which is a good thing. The Goo Goo Dolls felt a bit rushed for time to get Leonard Bernstein in, but overall great. People were sitting in chairs completely across the top by the concessions, allowing zero egress from the lawn and upper level seating area. There would have been major issues if the venue needed to be evacuated. Why not add rope lines or something to designate egress from ALL seating areas, not just those in the floor of the shelter? Also, can we please prohibit smoking on the lawn? Three people ruined the concert for the 75 people sitting around them because of their smoking. One pair even moved their seats after a smoker sat behind them, about an hour earlier. This would go a long way for patron satisfaction.
